Genesee County's workforce training programs support over 3,500 student participants annually in mechatronics, food and beverage manufacturing and advanced manufacturing fields.
Cornell in High School Dairy Processing Bootcamp
Graduating seniors have a fast track to careers in Genesee County's major dairy processing employers.
Led by Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, students graduate this fun and informative accelerated training program with a Cornell Dairy Processing Certificate.
Skilled instructors teach students about basic food safety and facilitate tours to several local food processing employers in Genesee County.

Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program
Dozens of students at the Genesee Valley BOCES electro-mechanical (mechatronics) program participate in the Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program with Genesee County and regional businesses, including Nortera, Oxbo, and Tambe Electric.
Following a mid-school year matching day, students in 11th grade join employers for job-shadows, and students in 12th grade join employers for paid internships.

Genesee Valley Pre-Apprenticeship Bootcamp
"Earn as You Learn" with this six-week advanced manufacturing training program.
Participants receive paid on-the-job training through registered apprenticeship opportunities at Genesee County employers, and graduate with no debt!

GLOW With Your Hands: Manufacturing
GLOW With Your Hands is the largest hands-on career exploration event for GLOW Region students.
Participants experience dozens of high-growth and high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, and the skilled trades at this celebration and an on-demand virtual career exploration platform.
Employers are encouraged to join this year's program, which will be the largest in GLOW With Your Hands history!
