The railroad reached Bergen in 1836 and an area was built out around the intersection of Lake Road (Route 19) and the railroad for businesses and houses. The Village of Bergen was incorporated in 1877. With the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad running through the village, a mini transportation and economic hub was formed.
Premiere Credit of North America, LLC, a leading national accounts receivable management company headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, is expanding their operations and opening a call center located on Mill Street in the City of Batavia. Premiere Credit has signed a lease for 8,500 sq. ft. with the option of taking the total 13,500 sq. ft. of space. Premiere Credit expects to employ 50 people at the Mill Street location and plans to be up and running by March 1 or sooner if possible.
Information addressing the comments of the Western New York Science Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Park (WNY STAMP) Draft Generic Impact Statement (DGEIS) will be discussed at 7pm on January 26th at the Town of Alabama Fire Hall. All property owners in the Town of Alabama will receive a postcard announcing the meeting and the public is welcomed to attend.
