Zeliff and Masse Statement on STAMP
by jkrencik“Due to unforeseen technical limitations with the Town of Alabama Fire Hall facility for the recording and livestream of a March 19 public hearing, the Genesee County Economic Development Center will extend both a deadline for written comments and schedule a future public hearing on the proposed agreements with Stream US Data Centers, LLC.
“The previous livestream recording in its outputted form along with all project-related documents are currently available on our website and we continue to be accept to written comments to [email protected].”
“To be clear, the GCEDC board, nor the GCEDC staff, would not benefit from approval of this project at all. The benefits would be to all residents of our county, as revenue from the project would be available to reduce the costs of current and future local services that are needed with or without this project, including the expansion of county water.
“As part of agreements with the Town of Alabama, STAMP is already benefiting all town residents. STAMP’s development has resulted in public water serving town residents through $11 million in funding. Revenues from project at STAMP have funded improvements to roads and services at no cost to taxpayers.”
