Pembroke Commerce Park receives National Fuel Grant Posted on Jul 28, 2009 by ttrav
The Pembroke Business Park, located less than 1 mile from Thruway exit 48A, at the corner of Routes 5 and 77 in Pembroke, has received a grant for $15,300 from National Fuel for infrastructure improvements. The 67 acre park sits in an Empire Zone and in the Niagara Power Authority's Hydro-power zone meaning occupants could benefit from low cost electric.

The park is owned and operated by the Genesee Gateway Local Development Corporation, the real estate affiliate of the Genesee County Economic Development Center. The GCEDC recently approved an incentives package for the park's first occupant, Professional Turf Services of Lockport which is buying roughly two acres of land to expand their business into the Rochester area.

According to Steve Lockwood, the GCEDC's Vice President of Financial Services, the grant is being awarded through National Fuel's Area Development Program and will be used to install 900 feet of 4 inch natural gas lines at the site.
