Genesee and Mohawk Valley Railroad Co., Inc. (GVT)- Initial Resolution Approved

The company build a 25,000 sq. ft. cross dock facility in 2010 and GCEDC supported the project.  GVT is looking to expand this facility due to increase in demand from local customers and is planning to add 12,160 sq. ft. for a total of 37, 160 sq. ft.

Project Dairy - Final Resolution Approved

The company is proposing to refurbish and restart the current idle Muller Quaker Dairy processing plan in Batavia, NY.  Plans are to invest $205M in facility, processing and filling equipment, building improvements including adding new construction of a 100,000 sq. ft. refrigerated warehouse.  The company would pledge to create 230 FTE's and purchasing milk supply regionally through its network, if they complete the acquisition.  The company is completeing its due diligence prior to any purchase which includes the approval of any potential incentives.

Gateway GS, LLC 

The newly formed company is planning on building a 25,000-sq. ft. shell or spec building at Gateway II Corporate Park.  This will be Phase 1 of 5.  The building will be engineered as a shell so that prospective tenants, who will ultimately lease the space, will control the buildout.  This type of development is more flexible than fitting out the entire building at the on-set of construction and is more attractive to prospective tenants.  The tentants that this type of building will attract include warehouse, distribution, light manufacturing, technology and office space tenants.

1366 Technologies - Initial Resolution Approved

1366 Technologies, a manufacturer of technologies for the solar energy industry, will establish its first large commercial Direct Wafer production plant and significantly grow its workforce at the high-tech Science and Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park in Alabama, Genesee County.  Construction of the manufacturing facility will require multiple phases during which the company will create at least 1,000 new, full-time jobs of the next five+ years.

1366 Technologies develops and manufactures high performance silicon wagers, the building block of solar cells and the most expensive component of a solar panel.

1366 Technologies will build a 3GW wafer facility with a methodical phase approach, starting with a 250 MW facility. Over the course of the multi-phase project, 1366 will invest approximately $700 million becoming the largest conomic development project in the history of Genesee County.

Economic Impact: For every $1 of public benefit, the company is investing $43 into the local economy.

CLP Darien Lake, LLC - Final Resolution Approved

Project No. 1801 16 02A

Darien Lake is planning two projects that will enhance their tourism desitnation and enhance guest experience:

1. Six Flume Water Slide - manufactured by Proslide, this six flume water slide complex features a slide tower and six slides meandering roughly 294 feet in length from an elevation of 42 feet.  Unique to the experience, riders position themselves on a head-first facing mat ain racing format.  Riders then begin the race via instructions from an attendant supported with a unique light and timing system.  Upon the green light go, guests will plunge through dark and translucent in-braided twisting tunnels and shoot into the open multi-bump racing lanes hoping to be crowned victorious.  THe ride will be positioned near the entrance of our park adjacent to the Laxy River and Hooks Lagoon giving us the opportuinty to improve the arrival presentation and also create more patio space for our guest.

2. New roller coaster train - manufactured by Intamin Ltd., this new roller coaster train is a replacement anad upgrade for the Ride of Steel roller coaster train initially installed in 1999.  The new train can accompdate up to 32 riders per cycle.  WIth improvements in technologies, this new train will deliver a smooth and comfortable experience for the rider while reducing the requency of minor or nuisance mechanical downtime.  This means the ride will run more efficiently and service more guests per hour ensuring a better experience to all our park guests.

Economic Impact: For every $1 of public benefit, the company is investing $1,137 into the local economy.

Mega Properties - Final Resoltuion Approved

Mega Properties provides distribution services to the United States fo Koolatron Corporation, a Canadian company.  This distribution center has been operating in Batavia, NY since 1979.  Initially, the warehouse rented space on Harvester Ave and graduation from the incubator space to purchasing 3 acres at Gateway I in Batavia and building 25,000 sq. ft.  Two years ago, the company expanded the building from 25,000 sq. ft. to 45,000 sq. ft.  The company rented out 10,000 sq. ft. to another distribution company and utilized the balance for their growth.  The company has experienced more growht and is planning on adding an additional 25,000 sq. ft. that will maximize their footprint on the 3 acre parcel.  Thus, the building will increase to 70,000 sq. ft. 

Economic Impact:  For every $1 of public benefit, the company is investing $18.00 into the local economy.
