Theme of Annual Meeting event is “Celebrating Business”
The Genesee County Economic Development Agency will conduct its annual meeting and unveil the agency’s 2016 report on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Batavia Downs.
The theme of the annual meeting is “Celebrating Business in Genesee County”. The GCEDC reached a historic milestone as it recently surpassed $1 billion in investment in Genesee County over the last 15 years.
“This event really provides us the opportunity to share our accomplishments over the last year and to express our thanks to all of our public and private sector partners,” said Paul Battaglia, Chairman of the GCEDC Board of Directors.
Various federal, state and local officials will be attending highlighted by remarks by New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul and U.S. Representative Chris Collins.
The Keynote speakers are Anne Kress, PhD, President of Monroe County Community College and James Susner, PhD, President of Genesee County Community College. National Fuel will receive the GCEDC’s annual business of the year award.
“We could not think of a better theme for our annual event as our is all about business and helping businesses that are already here grow and expand and bringing new businesses to our region,” said GCEDC President and CEO Steve Hyde.”
