GGLDC approves purchase and sale agreements for last available Gateway II properties
The Genesee Gateway Local Development Corporation (GGLDC) approved purchase and sale agreements for the last available properties in the Gateway II Corporate Park at the corporation’s November 1st board meeting.
The intended projects that Mega Properties, Inc. and Wellsville Carpet Town, Inc. are planning will complete the Batavia corporate park, joining the neighboring Gateway I Corporate Park as fully-accomplished developments.
Mega Properties is the owner of an existing manufacturing facility in the Gateway I park. The company plans to build a 60,000 sq. ft. facility on 8.8 buildable acres of a 22-acre parcel.
Wellsville Carpet Town is the owner of Ashley Furniture HomeStore, whose regional distribution facility was the first project in the Gateway II park. The company plans to construct a 15,000 to 20,000 sq. ft. facility for an outlet center at the 2.9-acre parcel.
The Gateway II Corporate Park is also home to Gallina Development Corporation's Gatway GS project, which in 2018 constructed a 27,000 sq. ft. flex building for office, manufacturing, warehouse and distribution operations. Four additional 27,000 sq. ft. flex buildings are planned at the site.
The Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) and GGLDC are activity marketing six additional industry-specific and general business parks in Genesee County, New York, including the 1,250-acre Western New York Science and Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park and the 250-acre Genesee Valley Agri-Business Park.
