BATAVIA, NY – The Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) approved incentives for Custom Vehicle Outfitters (CVO) at its March 28, 2019 board meeting.

Custom Vehicle Outfitters will be transferring operations from its existing facility, which it leases on Ganson Avenue in the city of Batavia, to the former PW Minor manufacturing facility at 3 Treadeasy Avenue. Custom Vehicle Outfitters is investing $1.7 million to purchase the 80,000 square foot facility and make approximately $300,000 in capital improvements.

Custom Vehicle Outfitters will be receiving sales, mortgage and property tax exemptions of approximately $60,000.  For every dollar of public benefit, $230 will be invested into the local economy.

Custom Vehicle Outfitters is the authorized distributor/installer of accessories for General Motors automobile dealer locations in Central and Western New York and Western and Northeast Pennsylvania. Company President Scott Portuondo told the GCEDC board that locating in Genesee County is beneficial for the business.

"It's a good location for us, being off the Thruway from a transportation and warehousing standpoint," he said.
