STAMP, an acronym for Science, Technology, Advanced Manufacturing Park; is a proposed large scale, high-tech/clean-tech, manufacturing park located in Genesee County. STAMP is located near the intersection of Judge Road and Route 77 in Alabama. It is the ideal location for high-tech/ clean-tech companies because of immediate access to transmission level electric, reduced cost hydropower, a high capacity gas line, and the New York State Thruway. STAMP is being developed as a campus like setting to attract companies who produce computer chips, flat panel display units, semiconductors or similar products. Operations of this size could provide thousands of medium to higher income jobs to residents of Genesee and surrounding counties. Alabama residents will receive an informational post card in the mail encouraging attendance to the upcoming public informational meeting. The February 10th meeting will take place at the South Alabama Fire Hall on Judge Road and is open to the public.
