The Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) has been working for several years to create a shovel ready campus style mega site comparable to the Luther Forest Tech Campus in Saratoga County. The Western New York Science, Technology, Advanced Manufacturing Park (WNY STAMP) project contains over 1,300 contiguous acres of developable land located in Alabama, NY.  WNY STAMP is centrally located between Rochester and Buffalo and can pull from a population of 2.1 million people within reasonable commute times.  WNY STAMP is located in the New York Power Authority’s Hydro-power zone and dual 345Kv transmission lines run along the northern border of the site, 115Kw National Grid transmission lines crosscut the site, and the Empire Gas Pipeline runs adjacent to the site.

WNY STAMP is ideal for large high-tech/ clean-tech manufacturing and R & D oriented companies and at full build out could provide over 9,300 onsite jobs for the region.  Including, the supply chain effect, the WNY STAMP project could create over 32,000 jobs from Buffalo to Rochester.  Along with the potential of medium to high paying jobs for Western New York, the likely private sector capital investment could exceed $10 Billion.
