Genesee County EDC Chairman: John F. Andrews

Mr. Andrews is a director of Freed, Maxick & Battaglia, CPA's P.C., and RSM McGladrey, Inc. formerly Battaglia, Andrews & Moag, P.C. As a director Mr. Andrews has been responsible for audits of organizations such as public school districts, commercial enterprises and non-profit organizations, as well as performing tax preparation and planning services. Mr. Andrews is the current Chairman of the Genesee County Economic Development Center and has held this capacity since 1991. He was also the past President and current board member of the Genesee Community College Foundation, board member and treasurer on the Board of United Memorial Medical Center and trustee of St. Joseph's Church in Batavia, New York.

GCEDC Vice Chairman: James L. Vincent

Mr. Vincent is President of L-Brooke Farms, Inc. and affiliated companies, a 7000+ acre processing vegetable and grain farm in Western New York. Affiliated companies include: Baker-Brook Dairy, LLC, a 750 cow dairy, and Synergy, LLC, focused on the production linkages from biotechnology and nutritional research to companies developing specific health and nutritional products. Mr. Vincent is Chairman of the New York State Advisory Council on Agriculture and currently serves as one of Cornell's representatives on the Council of Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching; as well as the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences Advisory Council and Extension Advisory Council. Mr. Vincent is Secretary of the National Council of Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching and serves on its Executive Committee.

GCEDC Board Member: James W. Fulmer

Mr. Fulmer is currently the President and Board Member of Tompkins Trustco, Inc., having taken that responsibility after being the President and Chief Executive Officer of Letchworth Independent Bancshares Corporation in Castile, New York. Mr. Fulmer is still the current Chairman of The Bank of Castile. Mr. Fulmer also served as Senior Vice President of Fleet Bank (and its predecessor banks) from 1976 to 1987. Mr. Fulmer has served on the Board of Directors of the Genesee County Economic Development Center since 1992, New York Bankers Association since 1993, and United Memorial Medical Center since 1994.

GCEDC Board Member: Michael A. Gerber

Michael A. Gerber is President and Chief Executive Officer of Farm Credit of Western New York, ACA, a $700 million lending and financial services organization serving agriculture and related businesses in the 16 westernmost counties of New York State.

Mr. Gerber began his Farm Credit career in 1986, holding various production and management positions in lending and financial services in New England. He moved to the Western New York Association in 1994 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a position he held until his appointment as President and CEO in 1997.

Mike is a 1980 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and has completed the Smeal School of Business Administration Program for Executive Development as well as a number of other leadership training programs.

He currently serves as a director for the Genesee County Economic Development Corporation. Mike also serves as a director for Financial Partners, Inc., the New York Council of Ag Organizations, and is a member of the Ag Advisory Committees for Senator Clinton and Representative Randy Kuhl. He is also a past director of LEAD NY, a cooperative effort for leadership development between Cornell University and the agriculture industry in New York State. Mike is also active in his local church.

Mike and his wife, Lee Ann, have three children and reside in Oakfield, N.Y.

GCEDC Board Member: Hollis D. Upson

Owner and Treasurer of Upson-Maybach Inc. with over 30 years business experience, Mr. Upson is the current Genesee County Legislator -8th District. Mr. Upson currently serves and is a member of the City of Batavia Republican Committee, Genesee County Planning Board, Genesee County Chapter 1169 EAA and current Chairman of the City of Batavia Municipal Services Steering Committee. Mr. Upson also served on the City of Batavia Planning Board for 6 years, 2 of which were as Chairman.

GCEDC Board Member: Wolcott T. Hinchey

Mr. Hinchey is the Chief Operating Officer of P.W. Minor & Son Inc., a one hundred forty year old footwear manufacturer and wholesaler for which he has worked for over 30 years, He is also currently President of Prime Materials Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of P. W. Minor & Son Inc. which manufactures foam products for commercial and industrial applications. He has a BA from Hobart College and an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology.

GCEDC Board Member: L. William Benton

Mr. Benton spent over 40 years in the machining and tooling industries. Mr. Benton started Elba Electronetics in 1962 doing Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and manufacturing tooling for the sheet metal industry under the name of Elba Tool Co. That continued until 1990 when he sold his company to Amada Engineering & Service Company. Mr. Benton stayed on and worked at Amada until his retirement in June 2000. Currently Mr. Benton runs Benton Machine & Prototype, a light machining business, and is owner/operator of Bethany Airpark LCC.
